Outlook
The Toronto Raptors let us down in game 1 versus the New Orleans Pelicans. The game was lost in the third quarter where the Pelicans couldn’t miss. At the same time, Toronto were missing wide open looks – leading to the game slipping away. This is cause for concern, but not a cause to panic. Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam both had good games. Those are the two most important players on this team. If they play well, this team will get back to winning games.
For the Spurs, they looked good in an opening night win versus the Memphis Grizzlies. The Spurs are expected by many to miss the playoffs for a second straight year but they still have a decent young team around DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge. Despite this, I’m riding confidently with the Raptors tonight. I still believe that this is a good team who will win a lot of games. At 2/2.5 points, this seems like a good time to pick the Raptors who are facing early season questions.
Point spread pick:
Raptors at -2.0 or 2.5
Confidence Level (Low, Medium, High):
High
Season record for my picks:
