
Toronto Raptors‘ point guard Kyle Lowry has been named the NBA’s player of the week in the Eastern Conference. Behind Lowry’s leadership, the Raptors went 3-0 last week against the New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In Toronto’s most recent victory against the Eastern Conference leading Cavs, Lowry went off for a career-high 43 points – including the game winning shot.
Over the past week, Lowry led the conference in scoring by averaging 28.7 points per game to go along with 8.7 assists – good for second in the conference. The Raptors lost their last game to the Detroit Pistons, however Lowry sat out that contest due to get some much needed rest.
The Raptors are back in action on Wednesday evening when the Utah Jazz roll into town.
