Let’s skip the traditional pre-game today, because quite frankly there isn’t much point of analyzing this game. It’s a meaningless contest for two teams virtually playing for nothing.
Here are some things that should be interesting:
1. Rookie Battle
Andre Drummond, a player many people were upset that the Raps passed on, will get the start tonight. He will go head to head against Valanciunas, and both should see a good chunk of minutes.
2. Jose vs Lowry
The point guard controversy is now over, with Lowry winning. However, Jose and Lowry will now go head to head. This is the only reason this game is worth watching, and it should be fun (and kind of weird) seeing Jose take on the Raps.
3. Nothing Else
I mean, sure, watching Rudy Gay try to be more efficient or just watching the team mesh as the season comes to an end may be something worth taking note of, but as this team goes through their growing pains, I don’t know if the casual fan is going to really enjoy watching this game.
