You joined our team in 2013

As an assistant coach relatively unseen

You changed our offense, adding passing and threes

Which has been successful over the years, to varying degrees

In 2018 it was time for a change

Coach Dwane Casey had reached the end of his range

With such a great assistant coach the decision was clear

You would even go on to win coach of the year!

In 2019 you won us the chip

With Kawhi and Kyle guiding the ship

Your Box-and-1 on Curry was simply inspired

It is a driving force behind why you’re admired

The last few seasons have been very uncertain

With no ability to see what would be beyond the Covid curtain

But now it looks like we’re nearly there

With rookies as good as Scottie, oh so rare

Pascal, Freddy, and OG have stuck around

Helping us shoot, pass, defend, and rebound

Though Kyle, Kawhi, and others will be missed

We’re certainly doing well, and can’t be pissed

So here we are in 2022

With reports that the Lakers are coming for you

You’re the best head coach, and such a pro

All we ask from you Coach Nurse, is please don’t go
