Free agent guard Nando de Colo has turned down a deal to stay with the Toronto Raptors. He has signed with CSKA-Moscow in Russia, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The Raptors announced last month they have extended a qualifying offer to De Colo. Reports indicate Toronto offered the Frenchman a two-year deal. However, CSKA-Moscow was willing to pay more.
De Colo saw the money on the table and presumably thought, “They don’t call me Nando de YOLO for nothing.” He accepted the CSKA offer of €3 million ($4.08 million USD) over two years. He will play alongside a few former NBA players, including past Raptor Sonny Weems in the Euroleague and VTB United League.

Toronto acquired the 27-year old guard from the San Antonio Spurs for Austin Daye on the most recent NBA Trade Deadline day. In 21 games with the Raptors, De Colo averaged 3.1 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 rebounds in 9 minutes.
De Colo was drafted in the second round by the Spurs in 2009. He signed with the team in 2012 and suited up for them for two seasons before being traded on February 20th and robbed of an eventual championship ring.
