This marks the third departing member of last years staff as the Raptors had already lost 905 Head Coach Jerry Stackhouse to the Memphis Grizzlies and former Head Coach Dwane Casey to the Detroit Pistons.
Known for his role as defensive coordinator, Rex Kalamian’s lead on the defensive end was one of the main factors in the Toronto Raptors’ top 10 defense this past year. With Nurse being more famous for his offensive schemes, the loss of Kalamian is a tough blow to endure going into the summer league and next season.
