NBA players have been notorious for their cryptic, or not so cryptic tweets. Sometimes they’re aimed towards other players and sometimes towards team management. Last night the Toronto Raptors came away with a huge 103-99 victory against the Eastern conference leading Cleveland Cavaliers last night.
Everything seemed just great until one understandably disgruntled Raptors’ player (James Johnson) sent this tweet out to interweb.
#Mood. Under-utilized
— James Johnson (@IamJJ16) November 26, 2015
In Toronto’s victory over the Cavs only nine players got playing time. Out of those nine players – eight of them played over 10 minutes in the win. The odd man out in this situation was the versatile Johnson who played only 5 minutes and has only seen the court for extended minutes when there are injuries.
Without Jonas Valanciunas and the recent ineffectiveness of Patrick Patterson and Terrence Ross, you’d expect more minutes for James Johnson – however this hasn’t been the case.
Anyways, since his tweet last night, Johnson has since cleared up his statement with the tweet below.
My bad, just want more than anything to be a big part of something special for fans, teammates and coaches. #wethenorth

It just seems that Johnson is frustrated being ‘the most talented player on the roster’ and not really having a chance to prove himself. Keep your head up James – we’re rooting for you.
