Toronto Raptors vs Charlotte Bobcats

A 2PM tip off on a back to back isn’t likely going to help the Toronto Raptors chase to get back on track. After dropping a goose egg against the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday, the Raps are in desperate need of the win against the Charlotte Bobcats, who the Raps can’t seem to beat.

The game is at 2PM due to Martin Luther King Day, and we all have class/work so don’t expect this to be the best pre-game we have done.

Kemba Walker will be out for the Bobcats, while Tyler Hansbrough and John Salmons are questionable for the Raps.

Let’s get to the Cage’s 5 3 Keys To The Game

Big Al

With or without Kemba, this guy has consistently dominated this season. Dwane Casey, maybe it’s for the better that you benched Jonas Valanciunas last night because the Raps will certainly need him.

Fatigue

If the Raps show signs of fatigue, the fresh Bobcats will eat them up. If Hansbrough and Salmons play it will certainly help. Come out the gates with some energy and sustain pace.

Play Your Pace

The Raps have a strange style of play, with a slow offense and emphasis on defense yet they love to push the ball, especially after the other team scores. Kyle Lowry seems to thrive in these scenarios, and without Kemba, Lowry should have a significant upper hand.

X-Factor- DeMar DeRozan

Without a doubt the match-up to watch is DeRozan vs Gerald Henderson. DeMar got cooked the last time they played, and he will have to put in work defensively to contain Henderson.
