The NBA Draft Lottery results are in, and the Toronto Raptors will have the 9th overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft. The Raptors also own the 27th pick in the draft.

This pick is the result of the infamous Andrea Bargnani trade with the New York Knicks in which the Raptors received the worst of the picks between the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks. The Nuggets will have the 7th overall selection just two spots ahead of the Raptors.

The big winner in the lottery was fellow Atlantic division team – the Philadelphia 76ers, who came away with the #1 pick. The Los Angeles Lakers will pick second and the Boston Celtics will pick third to round out the top 3 picks.

  1. Philadelphia 76ers
  2. Los Angeles Lakers
  3. Boston Celtics
  4. Phoenix Suns
  5. Minnesota Timberwolves
  6. New Orleans Pelicans
  7. Denver Nuggets
  8. Sacramento Kings
  9. Toronto Raptors
  10. Milwaukee Bucks
  11. Orlando Magic
  12. Utah Jazz

The last time the Raptors picked 9th, they selected DeMar DeRozan. More analysis of this pick to come.
