This is the end for Andrea Bargnani. With a tweet from all of the players involved in the deal acknowledging their departure from their respective teams along with highly reputed insiders reporting that it is completed, it is essentially a done deal: Bargnani is no longer a Toronto Raptor. The deal officially won’t be announced until July 10th, however there is absolutely no way the New York Knicks pull an ‘MJ’ on this one.

With that being said, Andrea has had some memorable, and not so memorable moments as a Raptor. Let’s take a look at some of the good times…

Bargnani torches Knicks for 41

Andrea showed some brilliance in this one. There has been no doubt he has the talent to be a fantastic player – the motivation and determination has always been the problem. Scoring a career high 41, Bargnani displayed his #1 overall status, and showed a flash of true brilliance. Maybe this is why the Knicks wanted him.

Failed translations making him look bad

There have been many instances where Bargnani has received some serious backlash from poorly translated interviews that Italian media initially conducted. We all remember Andrea calling the Raptors “the worst team in the NBA“. This was misquoted, however most people don’t know that part of the story.

This

LeBron, Kobe… and Bargnani

I’m not quite sure how he got on this commercial, but hey.

IL Mago Is Clutch

Bargnani has had his fair share of clutch shots, believe it or not. Here’s one of them.

And another.

Bargnani wipes out Carter

Lol.

Things ‘More Complicated’

Remember when Bargnani said : “I do things that are more complicated than rebounds and defense”? That wasn’t the exact translation he wanted to give to the media, but it sure came out funny. Bargnani struggled with the media quite a lot initially, but finally has started to break that language barrier and has become pretty good in front of the camera.

Primo Pasta and Sauce

One of the most iconic commercials ever. Bargnani will be forever associated with Primo, and I would be shocked if you haven’t seen this yet.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find a clip of him getting booed by HIS OWN FANS, as pathetic as that is.

So, this truly is the end. In all honest, Bargnani isn’t a bad guy, and I do wish him all the best in New York. Well, see ya.

PS – don’t complain when he torches the Raptors next year.
