Ed Kupfer, an advanced stats/analyst guy compiled some data in order to determine who has had the toughest schedules so far and who has the easiest remaining schedule. The metric used was the current winning percentage of teams, so under-performing teams such as the Brooklyn Nets may cripple the study a little bit, but for the most part it’s pretty solid.
Taking a look at the chart below, the Toronto Raptors have had the 6th toughest schedule thus far, and the toughest out of any team in the Eastern Conference. However, for the rest of the year, the Raps have the easiest schedule in the league. So, if you thought they were over-performing now, just wait…
But seriously, folks. This is good news. Albeit, they will have games like last night where they will lose to the Boston’s of the NBA. However, if they can maintain this level of play, the Raptors could end up with over 50 wins, as crazy as that sounds.
PS- Indiana has had a very easy schedule, and it will remain easy. Lucky them.
