As expected, the Toronto Raptors have waived Quentin Richardson. This opens up a roster spot, meaning another signing is imminent.
Richardson likely would have had no impact regardless, however Masai Ujiri must feel that there will be a better use for the roster spot.
Richardson was acquired in the Andrea Bargnani trade. At this point, the trade is now Bargnani for Steve Novak and two draft picks. The return is low, however dumping Bargnani was clearly the priority.
