After Friday night’s playoff rematch, the Toronto Raptors found themselves victorious against the Washington Wizards. With solid games from both Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, the Dinos pulled off a sweet 97-88 victory.

The Raptors were, once again, without DeMarre Carroll but played a very efficient game against the team that swept them in last years playoff series. With big efforts from our backcourt, Lowry and DeRozan are making an argument for both of them to represent the Raps in this years All-Star game.

Offence: A-

The Raptors shot 45% from the field and an impressive 92% from the charity stripe. Leading the way was DeMar DeRozan with a game high 35 points on 46% shooting while going 12/13 from the free throw line. Lowry chipped in 21 points and 4 assists to help Toronto take down the Wizards.

Defence: A+

The Raptors defence limited the Wizards to 88 points and just 39% shooting from the field. Toronto also guarded the perimeter very well as Washington shot only 32% from beyond the arc. Turnovers were also a factor as the Raps forced the Wizards to turn the ball over 19 times.

Rebounding: A+

Toronto did an amazing job on the boards as they dominated Washington on the glass 47-35. Lowry, DeRozan and James Johnson did exceptionally well in this area as they combined for 27 boards.

Game Ball: DeMar DeRozan

It’s not even a question as to who I’m giving the game ball to. DeMar DeRozan went off tonight as he exploded for 35 points, 8 boards a steal and a block. The man has been playing out of his mind lately and with news that he’s opting out come summer time, his play definitely warrants max-money consideration.
