The push for prospect development has continued for the Toronto Raptors. Today they’ve assigned point guard Delon Wright to their D-League affiliate squad the Raptors 905 for some much needed playing time. Wright, a 6-5 defensive minded floor general was drafted 20th overall out of the University of Utah.
This move doesn’t hurt the Raptors as Wright rarely plays during the important minutes of the game. Wright has registered 11 DNP-CD’s throughout the Raptors’ first 15 contests and often looked like a deer in the headlights when he was on the court.
The Raptors’ most recent D-League call-up was Lucas ‘Bebe’ Nogueira in the wake of the Jonas Valanciunas‘ 6-week hand injury.
