The man who has had more impact than any player for the Toronto Raptors is headed to Miami to join David Beckham in his new MLSE venture.

Tim Leiweke’s departure has been inevitable for a while now, however facing the reality is tough. He transformed the culture of MLSE from the top, and really made some huge moves for every franchise.
Leiweke was responsible for bringing in Masai Ujiri, moving focus towards the Raptors, getting the all-star game, the re-brand, and recruiting players among other things.
John Cassaday, former CEO of broadcasting giant Chorus Entertainment, will resume Leiweke’s role. How well rehearsed he is in sports management remains to be seen, however he is definitely a seasoned executive that will hopefully be able to carry forward what Leiweke started to embed into MLSE – a winning culture.
At this point, all we can say is thank you Mr Leiweke.
