Brooklyn Nets v Toronto Raptors - Game Seven

The Toronto Raptors are looking good folks. Coming off a dominant win against the Boston Celtics, the Raps will look to keep rolling as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks. This will mark the first time the Raps take on Greivis Vasquez, and you can bet he’s going to play with a chip on his shoulder.

The Bucks have not won a game yet this season, as they sit 0-2. Many people had high expectations for them after their great season last year. You can bet they will aim to come out firing and break out of their early slump.

Cage’s Keys to the Game

Containing the versatility

What really makes the Bucks tough is the versatility of their players. Michael-Carter Williams, Khris Middleton, Greg Monroe, and Giannis Antetekoumpo are all very tough match-ups. In particular, it will be important for DeMarre Carroll and Luis Scola to be able to keep these guys in check. This would be a good game to use a guy like James Johnson as well.

Keep the rock moving

The second half of last game brought Raptors fans across the country happiness. It was beautiful watching the ball movement that occurred, and speaks volumes about what this team is capable of. Kyle Lowry has to continue to facilitate, and having Terrence Ross as engaged as was last time out will be huge for the bench unit.

Road intensity

From start to finish, the Raps will need to play with energy. Against the Celtics, there was some sluggishness in the first half. That can’t happen, given how hungry this Bucks team will be to get the W.

X-Factor: DeMarre Carroll

This guy has proven his worth so far. After two games, Carroll has to be exceeding expectations of Raptors fans. The guy’s defense has been awesome, and you can just tell how smart he is on the offensive end. He will likely have the task of guarding the Greek Freak, and my bet is the Raps go small the majority of the game. Let’s hope he can step up.
