JONAS JUMP AGAINST NETSWell, that was quite the game.

The Toronto Raptors are now 26-15, winning it 112-100 over the Brooklyn Nets. It was an incredible – no, a magical performance from the all-star worthy backcourt from Kyle Lowry, and DeMar DeRozan, combining for a huge 61 points, 13 assists, six rebounds, and five steals.

The Raptors start the homestand on a good note with this win. This also pushes their winning streak to 5 games while making it their sixth comeback victory when trailing going into the fourth quarter.

Offense: B-

First half of the game, the Raptors were terribly inconsistent; at times playing stagnant, and at times the Raptors showed how effective ball movement can be. Everything picked up in the second quarter, with some solid minutes coming from a lineup of Cory Joseph, Lowry, Terrence Ross, Patrick Patterson, and Bismack Biyombo. The pace picked up, where a lot of the offense came in transition during the first half.

The other part of the game, the movement was better, with lots of guys looking at the rim first, opening up a ton of outside looks. The bench was terrific, with big performances from Ross and Patterson; 33 points overall from the bench, with the already mentioned 61 point from Lowry and DeRozan.

DEMAR AGAINST NETSDefense: C+

Very much like the offense in the first half – inconsistent.  What killed them early on, was the hot hands from Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez. Johnson early on was giving the business to James Johnson, but as that developed, Lopez started hitting long jumper after long jumper over Jonas Valanciunas.

The second half was not much of a different story. There were moments that were good, and moments that made you question your existence in life. In the fourth quarter, the Raps buckled down, forcing a ton of turnovers, altering shots, and making things difficult for Brooklyn. However, the Nets finished the game on 51% from the field.

The Raptors need to clean this up significantly, especially with a high-scoring, young and talented Boston Celtics team coming into town.

Rebounding: C

The first half was sub-par, losing the rebounding battle, with the Nets picking up a ton of extra possessions through the long rebounds. Guys started leaking out, and the most simplest rules of rebounding – put a body on em’ – was invisible. The Raps had a -8 deficit on the boards in total.

The rebounding improved, with JV and Biyombo doing a mass amount of the work on the glass. They still lost the battle, but what’s important, was the Raptors stepping up when it mattered.

LOWRY AGAINT NETSGame Ball: Kyle Lowry

Geez, you can give it to DeMar DeRozan, too. But, that was a fantastic performance, and called for, considering the support he’s received in the past 24 hours regarding his status as as all-star starter, receiving over 120,000 votes via twitter, facebook, and instagram.

Lowry did his job tonight, creating shots for others, getting to the rim, hitting from the outside, and making big time individual plays defensively. An all-star statline of 31 points, eight assists, and three steals.

*ahem* #NBAVote Kyle Lowry
