Raptors Trade Steve Novak to the Utah Jazz

NBA: Toronto Raptors at Orlando Magic

Only a couple hours after the Toronto Raptors resigned forward Patrick Patterson, Masai Ujiri has pulled the trigger on yet another deal. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, sharpshooter Steve Novak has been traded to the Utah Jazz. Novak played only a single season with the Raptors averaging 3.3ppg while shooting 43% from behind the arc.

The deal is meant to alleviate some cap room (possibly to resign Greivis Vasquez??) as Novak is still owed 7.2 million over the next two seasons. The Jazz also received a second round pick while sending over 6’4 guard Diante Garrett.
