According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Toronto Raptors have signed ex-Pistons forward Austin Daye to a two-year, 2 million dollar contract.

This deal truly came out of nowhere, but is yet another solid value signing. The 25 year old can stretch the floor, rebound at a decent rate, and possesses great size at 6’11 for a small forward. Masai Ujiri has always emphasized having young players with upside off the bench, and Daye epitomizes that.

This certainly isn’t a significant move by any means, but Daye adds another piece to the roster, and this could scratch the chance of Chris Wright earning a roster spot.
