With Jose Calderon gone, it is no surprise that the Toronto Raptors need help at the backup point guard spot. John Lucas III is a good scorer, but not the distributor the Raptors direly need. Three names have come up in Raptors trade scenarios: Sebastian Telfair, Luke Ridnour, and Eric Maynor.

All three come relatively cheap (between $1.5 million and $4 million) and are formidable options to backup Kyle Lowry. I have no problem with any of these guards depending on what we give up.

Telfair is the one most likely to come to Toronto if a deal does go through. Hamed Haddadi (who was not waived by the Raptors in the Rudy Gay trade) would most likely go to the Phoenix Suns.

Andrea Bargnani will most likely be staying with the Raptors until the off season, according to multiple reports. Bargnani has been struggling with his bench role since returning from injury and his trade value is low so it makes sense to weigh their options this summer rather than making a hasty move.

Bargnani is owed $23 million over the next two seasons. The Raptors still have their amnesty clause for use.

The NBA trade deadline is at 3:00 PM EST today. Keep checking Raptors Cage for updates.
