The Toronto Raptors have been playing some pretty poor basketball as of late. However, the fact that I can say that when they won their last game against the Atlanta Hawks really speaks about the expectations we have for this team.

The Raps (39-30) head to the glamorous Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers (27-44). Kyrie Irving will be out once again for the Cavs, making life easier for the birthday boy Kyle Lowry. Without Irving, there is absolutely no excuse to lose this one.

Cage’s Keys To The Game

48 Minutes

During this Raptors mini-slump, the team has failed to put it together for 48 minutes. They either start poorly, and come-back (which has usually resulted in the W), or start strong and falter. Let’s play a complete game in this one, or blow them out early and be done with it.

Contain The Backcourt

A tandem of Dion Waiters and Jarrett Jack actually isn’t that bad. The combo combined for 53 points in their win against the New York Knicks (I know…lol). Lowry and DeMar DeRozan (or Terrence Ross) will need to prioritize locking these guys down.

Get Inside

The Cavs are undersized inside, thus Jonas Valanciunas will have to take advantage of this. I could have easily made him the X-Factor, but I have to save that for…

Happy 28th to the best point guard in the East. Kill em tonight.
